Hunger in Nigeria: Why Our Food Drive Campaign Matters

The Harsh Reality of Hunger

Every day, millions of families in Nigeria go to bed hungry. According to the World Food Programme, over 25 million Nigerians face acute food insecurity, with widows and orphans among the most vulnerable. For these families, hunger is not just a lack of food—it is a cycle of hopelessness, malnutrition, and missed opportunities.

At Jyreh Foundation, we believe that no child or widow should ever have to choose between a meal and survival. That is why our Food Drive Campaign is not just a campaign—it is a lifeline.

Our Goal

Jyreh Foundation is working to feed 1,000 families across vulnerable communities. Through the Food Drive, we aim to provide nutritious food packages containing rice, beans, garri, oil, and other essentials. Each package is designed to sustain a family of 5 for at least a week.

But we cannot do this alone. We need your help.

Why Your Support Matters

Your donations ensure that widows and orphans have a fighting chance to live with dignity.

A simple act of generosity can keep a child from going hungry and give a widow the strength to face tomorrow.

How You Can Get Involved

  1. Donate: Every contribution counts. Whether it’s ₦1,000 or ₦100,000, or food items your support will directly impact a family in need.
  2. Volunteer: Join our team to distribute food boxes in underserved communities.
  3. Partner: Corporations and businesses can sponsor bulk food supplies or logistics to extend our reach.

A Meal Can Heal a Heart

At Jyreh Foundation, we have seen the power of a shared meal. It restores hope. It tells families that they are not forgotten. With your support, we can make this August a month of healing hearts and building futures.
