Why Back-to-School Matters
For many children in Nigeria and across Africa, going back to school is not guaranteed. Millions of children drop out of school each year simply because they lack basic supplies like books, uniforms, and school bags.
Education is more than just learning; it is the gateway to breaking cycles of poverty, child labor, and early marriage. Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and dream.
The Back-to-School Campaign 2025
Jyreh Foundation is hosting its annual Back-to-School Drive to equip 600 underprivileged children with the tools they need to start the school year strong.
Our goal:
- Distribute 600 school kits (bags, books, uniforms, writing materials).
- Provide scholarships for at least 50 children who are at risk of dropping out.
- Host mentorship sessions to inspire children to stay in school and aim higher.
The Urgency of Education
- 10.5 million children in Nigeria are currently out of school (UNICEF).
- Orphans are twice as likely to miss out on education due to financial struggles.
- Every year a child spends out of school increases the risk of poverty and exploitation.
Education isn’t just a right; it’s a lifeline.
